About the competition

When you think of hot air ballooning, probably the first thing that comes to mind is that it’s a calm and peaceful activity with scenic views. However hot air balloon racing is a rather complex and trying sport. Professional ballooning requires deep knowledge, thorough preparation, hard work and sophisticated skills.

Hungarian National Championship

There are national championships organized in Hungary since 1980. After almost 30 years, such a prestigious hot air balloon competition will return to Győr-Moson-Sopron County.

We can accept 30 entries

Our championship is an open one, which means we are not only looking forward to the application of domestic pilots, but foreign teams are welcomed to participate as well!
